🐾 Meet Pixie aka “Pixie Doodle” – Tiny Girl, BIG Personality! 🐾

• 🎂 4 years old — DOB 06/24/2022
• 🎀 Female
• ⚖️ Only 6 lbs

💗 Why Pixie is So Special
Pixie may only weigh 6 pounds, but this little girl has enough personality for a dog ten times her size! 😂
She is affectionate, playful, energetic, and full of character. One of her favorite things in the world is climbing into your lap, dramatically flopping onto her back, and waiting for those all-important belly rubs. 🥹💕
She loves:
• 🎾 Playing fetch
• 🐾 Running around outside
• 🧸 Pretty much ANY toy
• 🐕 Wrestling and playing with doggie friends
• 🐱 Hanging out—and sometimes wrestling—with the cats
• 🛋️ Climbing into your lap for cuddles
• 🛏️ Burrowing and hiding underneath blankets
And apparently Pixie didn't get the memo that she's a dog because she also likes climbing things and acting like a cat. 😂🐱🐶
🏡 Daily Life with Pixie
Pixie lives indoors and is accustomed to being part of the family.
✔️ Crate/kennel trained
✔️ Leash trained
✔️ Excellent recall reported
✔️ Calm at doors
✔️ Can safely relax loose in the home
✔️ Rarely has accidents
✔️ Does not counter surf
✔️ Does not get into the trash
✔️ Does not door dash
✔️ Has not been reported to jump or climb fences
Her potty training is still a work in progress, so her new family will need to continue giving her consistency and positive reinforcement.
🚗 Road Trip Buddy
Pixie is also a little passenger princess. 👑🚗
She rides calmly in the car, enjoys sticking her head out the window, and—because apparently the passenger seat isn't close enough—would happily sit in your lap if allowed. 😂
🐕🐱 Other Animals
Pixie has lived with other dogs and LOVES to play.
She has reportedly done well with:
• Small dogs
• Large dogs
• Female dogs
• Puppies
Her favorite play style is wrestling and rough-and-tumble play, so another playful pup who appreciates her energy could be a great match.
She has also lived successfully with cats and is considered cat-safe, although she will occasionally chase them. Her reported prey drive is very low.
⚠️ Important Things Her Future Family Should Know
We believe in being completely transparent when helping families find the right home, not just any home. 💕
🍽️ Pixie has shown resource-guarding behavior around food, including her food bowl, treats/bones, and the space surrounding her feeding area.
Her future family should be willing to:
✔️ Feed her separately from other pets
✔️ Give her space while eating
✔️ Avoid taking high-value items directly from her
✔️ Continue working on positive, reward-based resource-guarding training
🐾 She may also occasionally react toward another dog while on leash, although there is no reported history of fighting or injuring another animal.
🩺 Medical/Vaccine Information
Pixie has no known medical concerns, but her veterinary care will need to be
brought current.
• Rabies — expired
• Bordetella — expired
• Canine influenza — expired
• DAPP/DHPP — status unknown
• Heartworm test — not recently completed
• Microchip — no
• Veterinary records — unavailable
• Spay — still needed
We want potential adopters to know this upfront so Pixie can get everything she needs moving forward. ❤️
Her Story
Pixie has been with her family for approximately four years. They are rehoming her because of pet overpopulation in the home, not because they stopped loving her.
Her placement timeline is flexible, which gives us the opportunity to focus on finding a home that is truly the right fit for Pixie. Foster placement can also be considered.
🏡 Pixie's Dream Home
Pixie would thrive with someone who:
• 💕 Wants an affectionate little companion
• 🎾 Enjoys a playful, energetic pup
• 🐕 Has a compatible playful dog—or is happy making Pixie their little sidekick
• 🐱 Can appropriately supervise interactions with cats
• 🍽️ Understands or is willing to learn about resource guarding
• 🎓 Will continue positive-reinforcement training
• 🩺 Is prepared to update her vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip, and spay
