💗 Why Elsa Boo Is So Special
Elsa is a quiet, calm, affectionate girl who is perfectly happy spending much of her day relaxing near her people.
She can be a little shy and somewhat nervous at first, but once she feels comfortable, she loves attention and affection. She has a nice balance between being independent and wanting to be close to her family.
And this big girl has some seriously adorable quirks. 😂

🤗 She’ll stand up and give you a big Elsa hug
💩 And apparently, after going potty, it’s time for the post-poop zoomies! 😂
She’s definitely got personality hiding underneath that laid-back exterior.
🌿 Daily Life With Elsa
Elsa is a low-energy girl who enjoys:
• 😴 Sleeping and lounging around
• 🌳 Going outside and exploring
• ❤️ Getting attention from her people
• 🧸 Playing occasionally when the mood strikes
• 🚗 Going for car rides and sticking her head out the window
She rides calmly in the car, although giving her a potty break before leaving is important.
🏡 Home Manners & Training
Elsa already has several great foundations:
✔️ Crate/kennel trained
✔️ Leash trained
✔️ Knows sit, leave it, and “hand”
✔️ Calm at doors
✔️ Excellent food manners
✔️ Rarely has accidents inside
✔️ Does not counter surf
✔️ Does not dig through the trash
✔️ Does not rush through doors
✔️ Does not jump or climb fences
She may pull a little on leash and has fair recall, so continued positive training would be great for her.
She should also be crated or safely contained when nobody is home because she isn’t considered ready to be left loose unsupervised and may tear up bedding.
🐕 Other Animals
Elsa has lived with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends.
She has done well with:
• 🐕 Female dogs
• 🐶 Small dogs
• 🐕🦺 Large dogs
• 🐾 Puppies
Her play style can include wrestling, rough-and-tumble play, and tug, so another dog who appreciates a bigger playmate could be a great match.
Elsa has also lived with cats and has been considered safe with them. She may occasionally chase, so introductions and supervision are still important. Her reported prey drive is very low.
⚠️ A Few Important Things Her Future Family Should Know
We believe in being transparent so Elsa can find the right home, not just the fastest home. 💕
Elsa is not currently spayed, and some of her vaccinations are expired or their current status is unknown. She also has not recently had a heartworm test and is not currently on heartworm or flea/tick prevention.
She has had some flaky/irritated skin around her bottom and tail, sometimes scratching or biting enough to cause scabs. Her family believes fleas may contribute, so her future family should be prepared to establish veterinary care and get her feeling her best. ❤️🩹
Elsa also prefers to have her own space around her feeding area, so her meals should be respected and not crowded.
Her Story
Elsa has been with her family for approximately six years. Due to pet overpopulation in the home, they’ve made the difficult decision to find her another family where she can continue being loved and cared for.
Thankfully, this is not an emergency placement. Her family can continue caring for her while we search, and foster placement can also be considered.
