What to pack for your dog?
We came up with a list to help families pack for their doggie vacation/training with us. We require all families to label your dog's items to prevent it from getting lost.
If we notice it is not labeled, we will try to label it.
Please note that my husband’s penmanship isn't the nicest. To avoid messy handwriting on your property, please label your items!
Collar with tags and Leash
Please bring their NECK doggy collars (with updated dog tags) and functional leashes. We require ALL dogs to have tags and collars on at all times for safety. It must be 1-2 fingers tight, if it is not, then we will adjust it to meet our standards for your pets’ safety.
Food, treats, toppers, bones
Please bring their dog food (plenty for their stay) along with some food toppings or a can of delicious wet food; (this is NECESSARY in case that we need to encourage normal meal consumption due to them being in a new environment), treats, bones, dishes and any medicine / supplements that they might need. Whatever they don't use, will be returned to you.
Comfort items/toys
You are more than welcomed to bring any comfort items such as their dog bed, blankets, toys, or any extra bells, whistles, and comfort items that might make for a good doggie party. However, please make sure that whatever you bring is NOT irreplaceable as doggies will be doggies, ya know, and no re-imbursement, refund or replacement of ANY kind will be provided for items that sustain damage or get lost.
Dog Bed
Clean dog beds. However, please make sure that whatever you bring is NOT irreplaceable as doggies will be doggies, ya know, and no re-imbursement, refund or replacement of ANY kind will be provided for items that sustain damage or get lost.
Kennel
Crate or kennel. Ensure it works and is clean before dropping it off. Kennels are extremely important. We may use it for sleeping arrangements or feeding arrangements. If you don't have one please let us know so we can ensure we have a kennel readily available for them.
Pee Pads
We ask that all pups are potty trained unless you are booking a potty training session with us. You will need to provide your own pads and enough for their entire stay with us. If your dog is old and needs it, please ensure we know prior to boarding.
Dog Medication
If your dog needs medication and we approve it, it needs to be okay to have them on the medication around other dogs during their stay; we ask you to bring it along with written instructions on how you administer it. I.e., if you use cheese, peanut butter, or pill pockets, etc. Please bring everything that is necessary.
Comfort snuggle item
Some times dogs start to miss their families and like to snuggle up with an item like a shirt, towel or blanket to have a familiar scent. This also helps to reduce anxiety or stress during their stay.
Emergency Point of Contact
An emergency contact is the first person that medical personnel will get in touch with in an emergency. Your emergency contact may not be you or someone that will be going on vacation or our of town with you. If you do not have anyone, please list your veterinarian’s office and let them know your dog will be staying with us.
